Welcome to the sleepy town of Lyosha Stanislav located in the Mountain valleys of the Sikhote-Alin. Maksim's Academy is a prestigious magical school located at the base of Anik Moutain, the highest peak in the Primorsky.
Like Hogsmeade, Lyosha is a purely Wizarding town and completely hidden from Muggle eyes. It is a very quiet town and many wizard retreated here away from the prying eyes of the Dark Lord during the great battle when he first rose to power. Lyosha became a safe Haven thanks to the protective charms made by the Proffesor of Maksim Academy and his followers within the village. There are rumours that he may have even been greater than Dumbledore himself but Maksim assures that this simply cannot be true. He refused to fight in the battle and chose to use his powers to envelope the town in safety with the other powerful wizards taking refuge in the village..
Since the battle was won and the Dark Lord defeated by Harry Potter many have remained in Lyosha and in its protective bubble and raise children under the watchful eyes of Maksim and his Great Academy.

Sikhote-Alin comprises one of the most extraordinary temperate zones in the world. Species typical of northern taiga (such as reindeer and the brown bear) coexist with tropical species, the Amur leopard, Siberian tiger, and the Himalayan bear. The oldest tree in the region is a millennium-old Japanese yew. As a result many who found refuge in the area find it an agreeable area.
